NEW HAVEN BEATS AIC

New Haven stopped AIC on its final drive to hold for a 28-25 win.
AIC Cuts Deficit
Shane Murphy threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Kertis Hussey with 6:17 left. New Haven leads 28-25.
Hall Returns Kickoff for Touchdown
Moments after AIC made it a three point game, Sharieff Hall returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. The score gives New Haven a 28-18 lead with just over 13 minutes left in the game.
AIC Answers Back Again
Facing fourth down and 5 yards, Shane Murphy threw a screen pass to Trevor Perryman for 29 yards. That helped set up a 2-yard run by Amadeus Guerrero-Pou. Murphy then found Perryman in the back of the endzone for a two-point conversion to make it 21-18in New Haven's favor.
New Haven Offense Getting in Rhythm
The Chargers now have a 21-10 lead with 1:42 left in the third quarter. A series of passes from Osiecki kept the chains moving and Osiecki found Demetrius Washington-Ellison for a 10-yard touchdown to increase New Haven's lead.
AIC Responds
Dan Bassani kicked a 25-yard field to cut the Yellow Jackets' deficit to four points.
New Haven Takes Lead
Ryan Osiecki connected with Demetrius Washington-Ellsion for a 16-yard touchdown pass, giving the Chargers a 14-7 lead.
Stats Update
Nothing really significant on the Chargers' end. Chris Ruffin has one catch for 37 yards and a touchdown to lead the offense. Josh Smart has been handling the rushing duties, carrying the ball nine times for just 18 yards. Quarterback Ryan Osiecki is 8-for-15 for 86 yards. He was sacked four times.
AIC quarterback Shane Murphy is 7-for-12 for 110 yards and a touchdown. Davon LeGrier has three catchces for 78 yards and a touchdown. Terrance Holley has two sacks to lead the Yellow Jackets defense.
Halftime
New Haven tied the game at 7-7 with under 1 minute to play in the half. New Haven picked up the blitz on the drive and Ryan Osiecki found tight end Kameel Lashley on three pass plays to keep the drive going. A 37-yard strike from Osiecki to Chris Ruffin indirectly set up a 1-yard touchdown run by Victor Jones.
End of First Quarter
AIC is still up 7-0. New Haven is trouble moving the ball. Pressure from the Yellow Jackets has led to four sacks and just nine yards of total offense for the Chargers.
AIC Up 7-0
It took just one play. Shane Murphy hit Davon LeGrier over the middle for a 61-yard touchdown pass to put the Yellow Jackets ahead with 7:26 left in the first quarter.
Pregame
American International College starting quarterback Rob Parent will not play today, due to a thumb injury. Shane Murphy will start in his place. That should mean more carries for Amadeus Guerrero-Pou.
New Haven wide receiver Sharieff Hall will sit the first half for violating team rules. Freshman Jason Thompson will start in his place.
New Haven enters the game today at 2-3 and 1-2 in the Northeast Conference. AIC comes in at 4-2 and 2-2 in the NE-10.
