Wagner's Danny Hurley headed to Rhode Island
The word is that Wagner coach Dan Hurley will take over as the new men’s basketball coach at Rhode Island.
According to The Associated Press, Hurley will sign a six-year deal on Wednesday.
The Rams went 7-24 this season.
Hurley is the son of Basketball Hall of Famer Bob Hurley — also coached nine seasons at St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, N.J. Bob Hurley coaches at powerhouse St. Anthony's and his string of stars could vault URI back into prominence quickly.
