Kendrick Ray to take over James Johnson's role at Quinnipiac
James Johnson is gone so who will fill the void?
Looks like Middletown N.Y.’s Kendrick Ray is next in line. Kendrick is the younger brother of former Villanova star Allan Ray, who signed with the Boston Celtics after playing for seasons with the Wildcats.
His lineage also includes sister Brittany, who played at Rutgers.
Kendrick Ray looks to be cut in the same mode as James Johnson who started with the Bobcats from the first day he stepped on the campus. Ray is a 6-footer who plays both point guard and shooting guard. Check out this video and you’ll see the resemblance.
Ray led Middletown in the final eight of the New York State championships where they were walloped by Mount Vernon.
