Another Mandich may be headed to the Miami Dolphins
Tight end Nick Mandich (Miami, Fla.), who recently completed his senior season as a member of the Southern Connecticut State University football team, will participate in the Miami Dolphins Rookie Camp.
Mandich suited up for the Owls for the past three seasons. He totaled 37 catches, 303 yards and four touchdowns for his career. Statistically, his best season came in 2010, when he caught 17 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
Southern Connecticut concluded the 2011 season with an overall mark of 7-3 (6-2 Northeast-10 Conference). It marked the 11th consecutive winning season for the Owls.
Nick's dad Jim, pictured above, was a tight end on the Dolphins for eight years beginning in 1970. He was voted one of the most popular players ever on the team and passed away last year.
