Yale eliminated from Ivy League title chase

In the end it was a rough night for the Yale men's basketball team.
The Bulldogs entered Friday night needing to sweep its weekend series with Princeton and Penn to have a chance at the Ivy League title.
It also needed Harvard to lose at Columbia and Penn to lose against Brown.
For a while, in the second half of all three games the scenario seemed possible. Yale was tied while Harvard and Penn were both losing.
But in the end it all fell apart. Yale's Greg Mangano had a tough shooting night and the Bulldogs fell at Princeton. Penn pulled away from a stubborn Brown team and Harvard won in overtime at Columbia.
While those results set up a frantic finish in the league, Yale won't be a part of the title race.
With four losses the Bulldogs were eliminated and on Saturday, Harvard will be rooting for Yale.
If Yale beats Penn and Harvard wins at Cornell, the Crimson will finally go back to the NCAA tournament. It's been over 50 years.
Here are some of the recaps. Harvard
Yale
Penn
