Live from Bulldog Stadium

We'll have live updates from Southern Connecticut State's football game at Bryant throughout the game.

The weather is sensational. Last year's game at Bryant was played as the remnants of a hurricane brushed the area. The game was played in relatively dry and windy conditions but heavy rains came at the end of the contest.
Southern lost at Bryant 39-36 in that contest, which turned out to be quarterback Steve Armstong's last collegiate contest. Armstrong was sacked and snapped a bone in his leg and he never returned.
Armstrong had hoped to play again this season seeking a medical red-shirt but he developed issues with his knee and decided to call it a career.
Armstrong was a remarkable competitor and great passer and despite Chris Roberts' immediate success, he was missed.
Roberts gets the call again today at SCSU enters the contest with an 0-1 mark. This is Bryant's home opener.
Updates will come throughout the game.
